Unlike other micro states like Liechtenstein or San Marino, Luxembourg does have a preserved steam railway, namely at the 'Train 1900' in the southwestern corner of the country at Petange.

The branch line from Petange to the industrial heritage park at Fonds-de-Gras is a former branch line to the mines and has been preserved since closure in the 1970s. It is home to several attractive tank engines from the early 20th century, 3 of which are currently operational.

In the following footage there is an appearance by the elegant 0-6-0 Nr. 12, a Hanomag-built Prussian T7 type, but always delivered as an industrial shunter for the steel works in Luxembourg. It was built in 1903, so just three years off with the title of its home railway. Here a short video. A visit to this line can be recommended. It is 22 minutes by CFL service train from Luxembourg city to Petange.
