A belated post. I was there on Sunday and a big thanks to all the crews and others involved. The timetable seemed to work well, with the freights running on the high line and all passenger services on the low line, not stopping at Cogan Halt. No real delays outside Statfold Junction and couple of minutes were allowed to cross between services there, which hasn't always been the case in the past. It was more a day for riding than line-siding, so I managed a trip behind all thirteen locos - where else could you say that?!

AIUI it was running on kerosene for the gala (with very little smell!), but will now go on to testing with oil. The crew seemed happy with it from what I heard.
