    During operation last weekend it was noted that there was a problem with the segmental bearings on No.1 bogie, subject to confirmation by a more detailed inspection I suspect that the bearing liner / thrust face is damaged.

    The loco is now stopped pending a lift & repairs, the loco will be winterised and sheeted over for the foreseeable future.

    Very sad news.

    Information from the ELR/wnxx/pres diesels forums;

    47843 from Riviera Trains is replacing D444 at the gala due to a recent failure.

    Loco rosters should be available very soon.

    Well done to all for a very good event especially to those for getting D7076 fitted with a MD655 from D1041. A great effort to try such a thing, let alone carry it off. Brilliant.
