    If you have the opportunity I would urge you to book on a tour of Boston Lodge. It really is a fascinating place plus you will get to see some of the locomotives that are tucked up in the shed.

    The photos of this event concentrate on the trains, which is OK, but I don't see any people. How well attended was this event? It must have been expensive to put on and I'm wondering if it might be repeated next year.

    The trains I went on were well filled but never any danger of not finding a seat.

    What's the rust-coloured box in front of Britomart's cab? It looks like a scaled-up version of something you'd find on a vintage tractor.

    It's a wooden toolbox the same as the loco carried when it worked in the quarry.
