I have several of your videos on VHS ( Chinese (filmed by Simon Leppard..??), German and South African) and much enjoyed all of them. Whilst I have not watched any recently, would very much like to seem them (and your others) on something like Youtube.

My video about the HSB of the beginning of february. I never experienced the Selketal in snow.

Some new rumors said, that the temporary closure of the Selketalbahn is now postponed. Unfortunately I have no offical source.

Between 15th and 21st June all trains are cancelled due to maintance work between Wernigerode, Drei Annen Hohne and Eisfelder Talmühle.

All Brocken trains are diesel hauled during this period.

    Enjoyable video.
I got lucky with snow and a Mallet on scheduled services in the Selketal back in 2006.

Between 31st August and 18th September 2026, the Brockenbahn will be closed on the Schierke–Brocken section due to engineering works. Only the experts of the HSB can explain why the works have to take place during the peak season.

It's after the school holidays in Saxony-Anhalt and most of the former East Germany, so I assume that's why they've chosen then.
