    Richard, Is there a case for resurrecting SOBT 4035, currently only an underframe? SOBTs 4008, 4036 and 4035 have arrived at the Bluebell over the years and stripped for spares. Indeed, you commented that 4035 had framing of a larger cross section than anticipated. Are the enough bits left around Sheffield Park?

    No, we have 4 Bulleid brakes at the Bluebell (in addition to two at Swange and two at Mid Hants) so even if the bits did survive (which they don't) there'd be no point. 2515 and 2526 also have the larger frame sections, and the two BRCW ones are also solidly built. Quite a lot of the frame sections from 4035 ended up grafted into 5768 when it was overhauled.
    4008's body timbers had turned to compost - the roof was being held up by the partitions and the steel sheeting...
