Richard, Is there a case for resurrecting SOBT 4035, currently only an underframe? SOBTs 4008, 4036 and 4035 have arrived at the Bluebell over the years and stripped for spares. Indeed, you commented that 4035 had framing of a larger cross section than anticipated. Are the enough bits left around Sheffield Park?

    Roger,
No, we have 4 Bulleid brakes at the Bluebell (in addition to two at Swanage and two at Mid Hants) so even if the bits did survive (which they don't) there'd be no point. 2515 and 2526 also have the larger frame sections, and the two BRCW ones are also solidly built. Quite a lot of the frame sections from 4035 ended up grafted into 5768 when it was overhauled.
4008's body timbers had turned to compost - the roof was being held up by the partitions and the steel sheeting...

Afternoon all, attended the model railway show at the bluebell last weekend. Managed to get a bits of film of the various layouts. Very enjoyable if warm day out :)

    all the best
    Matt :)

I understand that there are likely to be cancellations to dining services running this mid-week as well.

80151 will now be the engine for the remaining services this week in place of 34059(?).

There has been a further change. 34059 is now rostered for this week. This matches real-time observations from today.

With regards to the timetables for Southern at War, there was a delay deciding what timetable to use, which is why the Public Timetable has not been made available yet. I believe the final agreement was for Timetable J on Saturday and Timetable I on Sunday. I’ve typed out the departures from both end of the line - services in italics will only run on the Saturday.

    SP: 09:20 (B), 10:30 (A), 11:45 (B), 13:00 (A), 14:15 (B), 15:30 (A), 16:45 (B)

    EG: 10:15 (B), 11:30 (A), 12:45 (B), 14:00 (A), 15:15 (B), 16:30 (A), 17:45 (B)

The public timetable should be made available soon :)

Announcing a gala pretty much a year in advance normally means it’s going to be a big one. Looking forward to this :)
