Thanks, hadn't realised S100 was at Peak as well as S102. Has S100 run in preservation? I remember it being at YDR but thats nearly 50 years ago, probably straight out of NCB service .

I believe it moved a a few years ago from Chasewater, after Mark Sealey became GM. It'll be ready next year I was told, but that was over 15 years ago! I understand a lot of parts disappeared when the old shed at Chasewater got demolished to make way for the M6 toll road.

Well if it is finished soon there'll be a scope for a PLA class event with S102 and 1857, currently at WSR. There's also 'Firefly' at Meldon but that seems to have gone off the radar somewhat ....

Firefly is still progressing quietly I think. Newtons supplied a new inner firebox and girders for it in the last couple of years or so. Like most locos, it will be done when it's done!

Been a while since I last updated but things nice n steadily progressing, the new trackwork into the top of the car park for the new unloading / loading area and the bay platform is in, still wants some ballasting and the bay platform building.

the footbridge column bases at darley are in.and erection is starting, there’s a lot of work on the riveting of the stair pieces under way.

Signalling wise, two seperate fronts, Rowsley box is having a door end rebuild (typical midland boxes) and the shed gang progressing nicely with the new trident signal for entering Rowsley to signal the loop, main and bay platforms, others for the station end are also being built, there also a triple doll for shunting from same.

pway are busy with foot crossing and block joint renewal jobs, a new siding off the turntable has been laid for the freight set, the sleeping coach restoration continues , new steps have been fabricated up for the sleeping coach for better access.

the station buildings at Rowsley have had a lot of repainting work into maroon and cream by the gang, and there’s other bits going on I’ve already forgotten. IMG_3616.jpeg

its a tad warm, but you already know that
