Just announced on the FB page that the N2 will be officially returning to service on 17th July.

Good to have an ex-LNER locomotive back in operation. Hopefully to be joined by the B12 next year and the Y14 in the not too far off future.

I believe the GNRS had its open day there too, and how lovely that John Cameron was there as well :)

I would love to paint one of my Hornby-Dublo 0-6-2Ts in GNR livery but it's a bit too intricate for a beginner like me!

Ten years was my last visit to the NNR, funnily enough hauled by the N2. Ten years later I would return along with the N2. Here’s my version of accounts from yesterday’s ceremony, and running, if you’re interested ☺️

Reported on the NNR Engineering FB page that 76084’s boiler is being taken into the workshops for assessment.

So glad to see work start on this locomotive. I realise there was a lot of discussions and decisions going on behind the scenes over the last few years, but was sad to see it sat in Weybourne yard.

Thanks for sharing. A really beautiful looking engine and full credit to everyone that's had a part in getting it back into service.

Just for clarification, the stripping and assessment of 76084’s boiler has been done. This to commence the repair work. The Y14 is the one that needs stripping and assessment and that will start soon,
