What width is 34081's tender, as 34007 has a narrow cab?.

It’s the wider tender to match 34081’s nine foot cab.

I imagined it would be, thanks Ian.

I've been mightily entertained by wibble on another forum where the matter of 34007's tender was being discussed. All manner of solutions were being proposed but nobody ever mentioned the possibility of 34081's tender being the answer. A few details to sort yet but it's on the cards. Be good to see another malachite Bulleid, if only while it's being run in.

Apologies if I misinterpret Ian but are you implying 'Wadebridge' won't retain the malachite beyond running in with '81s tender?
The report upthread drom the Beano said the tender from 34072 will have raves added before pairing with 21C107 so, I inferred, it could run in 'Southern' livery.

34072 can't run in SR livery - at least not legitimately - as it entered service in 1948!

Respecting the correctness of your assertion Tom, my question to Ian is whether 'Wadebridge' will keep the malachite once it is paired with the [rave added] tender currently behind 34072. This being the final series of exchanges involving "34007", 34072 and 34081 with the objective of the former acquiring a tender better suited to mainline use, which it is intended to begin in 2028 after running in at MHR during 2027 with 34081's tender.
Spamcan81 implied that the malachite would be "only for running in at MHR". Hence my question about the purpose of adding raves to 34072's current tender for later pairing with 'Wadebridge'.
    Sorry, long winded!

I’ve no idea what happens after running in. 34081’s tender will return to us is all I know.

Thanks, I just read too much into your words "Be good to see another malachite Bulleid, if only while it's being run in."
