    I think I'm correct in saying that the FSI does not take into account the use of steam locomotives but refers to the general conditions and relies on individual heritage railways making the correct decision depending upon their own local circumstances. Whilst I'd MUCH rather a steam loco be used for the enjoyment of both passengers AND staff, I'd prefer the Gwili and other railways err on the side of caution in the current conditions. Any fire occurring would be AWFUL for all the fire service personnel. Mark you a lot of heavy rain in the next 48 hours could totally change the perspective. I'm sure the Gwili management will return to steam ASAP.

    Any update on whether steam is planned for the BH weekend? We're in Pembrokeshire from tomorrow and will ride on Monday if steam is operating.
