Oooooooooo! Hello double headed pannier tanks! Looks like a great value tour with some rare track and a visit to a heritage line. Booking form in the post soon methinks.

And what is wrong with a steam train running through Chester's historic shopping centre?
Seriously though when you're trying to sell a tour to any location to enthusiasts and Joe Public surely a little 'poetic license' is okay.
If you think you can do better then I'm sure an email to our webmaster wouldn't go amiss.

Nothing to do do with this topic, but I think there is enough problems going on with certain heritage railway websites at the moment without "ruffling more feathers". Nothing wrong with this picture at all!

Somehow I don't think that Richard was complaining about the picture. Personally I think it's a very striking advert.

If the engine was painted red it would look like something out of Harry Potter! I love the ad and if it helps sell tickets . . . .

Can we assume from that advert that Weymouth Quay is an aspiration \:D/

    I'm sorry if I misunderstood you. #-o
Another case of the printed word not conveying the writers meaning.
One day t'internet will be able to translate the writers emotions into printed words. [-o<

Sorry to disappoint you David but the last time I was on Weymouth Quay the buildings were on one side only. The other side was water looking out to Portland Bill.
Mind you that was about 20 years ago, so if Dorset County Council have filled in the harbour in the meantime...all I can say is shame on them for spoiling a magnificent view. 8-[ 8-[

The way to do it... let enthusiast know what the loco is intended to be on the front and assure Joe Public of a great day out! =D>

    Some other operators take note...

Can confirm that it wasn't filled in last time I went there Salty, although some years ago you would have loved it. There was an American replica topsail schooner called "The pride of Baltimore" which was apparently there to commemorate a similar vessel running a one man blockade of the English Channel during the American War of Independence or some such colonial upset.
