Timetable suggests 1450 will be ready as all four days show Auto trains. 5526 is auto fitted but Harry2857 says its Bewdley based which wouldn't work with the 21.20 departure from KDR terminating at Bridgnorth on Saturday and starting from Bridgnorth on Sunday at 07.45. All good fun trying to work things out but all will be revealed soon as timetable is updated with loco allocations.

Looking at Thursday's timetable I see the trial commuter services are on there. The two in the morning are down as Auto, the first evening one of the other sets terminating at Bewdley and the second a local set which continues to Bridgnorth.

All will become clear in the fullness of time just one or two little hiccups presenting themselves to us. When they ar made public hopefully all will be understood. We are working hard on it as a team and the info will be out as soon as we can.

Very very soon. I promise when you all find out exactly why it’s been delayed you’ll understand! It’s been a battle this week but we are there!

    From the SVR Facebook

    AUTUMN STEAM GALA NEWS

Our Autumn Steam Gala (17-20 September) has had a few ups and downs during the past few days. Our team have worked tirelessly to produce the event and we issue the following update.

It is with great regret that we have had to cancel the visit of both BR Standard Tank 80097, and GWR Small Prairie 5526, for our Autumn Steam Gala. Unforeseen circumstances have led to both engines being removed from the lineup. We are grateful to the East Lancs Railway, Bury Steam Loco Group, and South Devon Railway, for their efforts in trying to bring these engines to the SVR, and we are sorry it hasn't work out this time.

    HOWEVER.....

We are thrilled to announce the visit of LMS 'Royal Scot' 46115 Scots Guardsman and GWR '2884' 3850. We are incredibly grateful to West Coast Railways, the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway, and Dinmore Manor Locomotive Ltd for arranging these short notice visits. We are astounded by the kindness and generosity shown towards us during the last few days.

We will aim to get the updated timetables on the website as soon as possible, with full locomotive allocations. We ask that you are patient with us, as you can imagine we've had quite a busy week with all of the above going on!

Huge thankyou to everyone for their patience. The updated timetbale with locos will be going online within the next 24 hours. It promises to be such a good event!

Also a big thankyou to West Coast, Glos Warks, and Dinmore Manor Loco for their help and support.

I can safely say the number of grey hairs has increased!

Thank you for your efforts Harry & co. Sounds like you've had a hell of a week trying to pull rabbits out of hats. I'm sure it'll be a great event as usual. And always good to remind everyone how good it is to have a GW 2-8-0 on the valley...!

Great replacement locos. I have waited since 1985 - when I first saw (4) 6115 at Dinting outside the exhibition shed - for a ride behind her so thank you! 3850 will also sound good on the SVR and be a draw.

That was a quick return for Scots Guardman!

Thought it was rumoured to be under overhaul.

I don't think it's been mentioned yet on this thread:
There are planned to be roadworks in Bridgnorth next week (Monday to Friday). The road between the Low Town bridge and the Oldbury road (B4363) will be shut so access will have to be via the Bypass.
