    And if you do know so much, you must either be helping the RAIB with their enquiries (in which case you are significantly breaching your duties to the investigation); or you should be and are withholding information from the RAIB. Neither of which are terribly clever.

    So to be clear then you are saying that you know nothing at all about the incident, the location or the railway?

    If so then it seems to me that youre the one making comments and assertions on the basis of no supporting evidence.

    Ahh yes, exactly the response I was expecting, and very telling. Avoid the question, divert and throw accusations back at the person questioning.

    I have made no assertions whatsoever. I haven't commented on the derailment or the issues surrounding it because I am wise enough to know I don't have enough information to hand to make a call on that. Instead, I have simply asked you to provide evidence to back up your claim that the GCRN has no safety measures in place that could have avoided the derailment that occurred. You have repeatedly failed to do so.

    The ball remains in your court. If you have the evidence to back up your claims, share that evidence with us.

    This is primarily directed at the exchanges triggered after the post by 'DCSA'.

    It is common practice on here not to comment on incidents that may require investigation on main line and heritage railways until an official response has been given by the relevant authority. The statement by the GCRN at #553 should be sufficient to make clear what happened without the need to go further at this stage.

    Can those who would like to talk about it further do so away from this Forum.
