That means that the new Car "Celia" is on the rear of the formation departing Victoria.

The Watercress Line have put together an excellent short video film explaining all about running a steam locomotive on the big railway. Clan Line is the featured locomotive.
You will hear all about the Fitness to Run examination, the work of the loco support crews and complexities such as GSM-R, TPWS, OTMR and AWS. It really is worth watching. <BJ>

Just tried watching. Invitation to log in cleared, video starts. After a minute or so invitation to log in re-appears, now no way of getting past it as far as I can see.

Clan Line is shown as on the Belmond Pullman run this coming Saturday, and I'd like to get out to take a photo or two.

But I would be surprised if we have moved out of drought here - certainly in Mid-Kent. I had 67 mm of rain over the three weeks from mid-August to early September. And almost nothing since.

And from comments elsewhere on Nat Pres I think we are at Red for fire risk. So a diesel coupled behind 35028?

Any updates for the coming Saturday from those who know would be welcomed if/when they can be posted here.

    Thanks,

    Bryan

Kent and Sussex are now AMBER. “Consider use of Diesel assistance”.

    Wessex remains RED

It’s well worth watching as an insight into preparing for a day out on the big railway and Ethan gives a good explanation of how the steam, vacuum and air brakes interact. The braking system on the loco and tender are as they were in BR days
