This tour has been advertised by the Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company since early August as steam from Bradford Forster Square to Carlisle and return.

However, I believe there is only Tangmere available from Carnforth, which is down to do a Cumbrian Mountain Express on the same day. There is also nothing in Real Time Trains.

I assume it is not running, despite several local papers advertising it over the last couple of days and nowhere that I can see online indicating as such.

Showing as "sold out" when you try to book tickets, though I'm guessing that means off sale rather fully booked. Be interesting to know why it was planned and advertised when RTC have had their programme advertised for months, and WCRC must've known there was never any chance of another loco being available to work the tour.

I assume they thought that one of the Fives would be back from Scotland, with the afternoon Jacobite having ended last week, as has happened in the past, but they're both still at Fort William.

Cancelled, due to lack of steam loco, ticket holders notified. Ironic when the 8F and Scots Guardsman have been on the mainline this last week or so
