Should be and excellent weekend. For those of you who have never been to a Gwsr event I do suggest a visit is worthwhile! Aside from the trains we have the diesel shed and steam sheds open at Toddington, broadway signal box will be ope ln for viewing before it’s finally commissioned this winter. Additionally carriage and wagon will be open at Winchcombe which is always worth a visit. on th dc trains I think Saturday sees the 2 class 20’s double up alongside class 24. On Sunday I think it’s D6948 and the peak. Both days alongside 2807, 3850, 6880 and 45110. And all for £28 adults and kids for a quid!

And don't forget, for those of us who are narrow minded enough (!) the 2ft railway will be in steam at Toddington.

I’m tempted to go this weekend. Do we have any info as to which way the steam locos will be facing?

6880 and 45110 face north so chimney first from Cheltenham. 2807 and 3850 both face south. It should be a good chance to also catch up on the overhauls of 35006, 7903 and 7820- all in the David page shed at Toddington.

Post on wnxxforum.co.uk saying 47105 replaces 24081 this weekend.

Does the goods in the afternoon get looped or is it a timetable error?

1355 off Toddington but arrives at Cheltenham Racecourse at 1526 however the 1427 off Toddington arrives at Cheltenham before it at 1457. Should it read 1426 for the goods?

    Cheers,

Very good weekend, time keeping was good with only a few minutes drifting on each day soon caught up. A problem with the timetable, the version we down loaded Thursday said the 14.27 (each day) off Toddington to Cheltenham stopped at both Winchcombe and Gotherington. In the event they had altered the timetable late and made it a non-stop, forcing us and others to change our plans when we saled through Winchcombe!! A quiet weekend with plenty of room on all trains, but a full car park at Toddington. Wincombe was quiet, but the absense of the burger stall may go way to explain things. No curries at Gotherington.
Part one a selection of photo's from Saturday, Part two Sunday.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit on Saturday. I primarily came across to reunite myself with 45110 which I last saw in steam nearly 20 years ago, but enjoyed a run behind 6880 and the 20s too.
Fantastic to see the progress at Broadway and the sheds at Toddington are hugely impressive too. Nice to progress on 7820, 7903 and 35006.
