Afew pix from Friday and Saturday. With Rammy sidings a no go area (breakdown crane, wagon storage and security agaents) I spent Saturday at Rawtenstall station and probably saw a lot more trains.
I just wish stations during galas could be made no go areas for small children and dogs (noise)!? :D

Some belated footage from Friday's antics. Seemed to get very lucky with the light for most of the day, and could not have asked for better conditions for the Pannier's freight runs first thing Friday morning: A really nice set to see 7714 running with. Thanks to all involved for putting on a good show!

We had an excellent day out at the railway on Friday, which was my first visit to the ELR in over 20 years. It is a very friendly railway with plenty to see and do (to the extent that we didn't manage to fit everything in). Bury on a gala day is a fantastic place to while away a few hours with almost continuous loco movements. We had some cracking runs with most of the line up, with 752, 1300 and 30506 being the highlights.

I did note with interest that, through a combination of volunteers and security folk, the onboard policing of window hanging was far more stringent and officious than I have ever experienced elsewhere. Whilst I appreciate that this is one of the issues which the ORR takes an interest in, I wondered if there are any ELR specific reasons for the approach taken?
