Real shame. I think it was expected that 70000 was the Crewe locomotive heading down to Southall next week in preparation for it's booked railtours this Christmas. Hope it'll be fixed in time to still pull it's intended trips

Jacobite ECS due back south today.

Will it run, given Storm Boelo?

Path has been activated but no movement reported on TRUST yet.

No ScotRail service at all on the WHL today, and virtually nothing running on the WCML.

Blanket Speed Restriction of 50MPH on all Scottish Routes from 2100 yesterday to 1900 today. Several more restrictive for certain routes, including much of the WHL of 40mph or less. Numerous route closures, including currently around Craigendoran due to high water levels.

In all combined, won't be surprised if the Black 5's were told to stay on shed today. Due to lack of infrastructure or diversionary routes, not the best sort of locomotives to have stranded out in this weather.

As expected, but it may take a day or two to create a new weekday path back to Carnforth.

    Cheers, Neil

5Z47 Tom na Faire to Craigendoran VSTP running today.

57010 has also taken 5x Mk. 1 TSOs to Buckfastleigh for seasonal duties. Returning to Carnforth via Swindon Yard where it is due to collect something and then run as 6Z59 back north.

Very annoyingly passed it on A82 near Bridge of Orchy on our way up to the West Highlands, I checked this morning on RTT too!

Now a subsequent 5Z48 Craigendoran - Carnforth VSTP path in too, for after the water stop this afternoon. Reported to be both Black 5s, but not sure how many vehicles on the back.

I find Railcam (if you're a subscriber) better for picking up STP/VSTP paths, as stuff seems to appear on there before it appears on RTT.

Looks to be 4 vehicles behind. Possibly a smart move, adhesion is currently at 'ice rink' levels on a 'Black Day' issuement regarding Leaffall, not the sort of day you'd want the two 5's to take a full load up Glen Douglas.
