Trip out today to Hellifield & then Skipton to see 45407 'The Lancashire Fusilier' Hellifield & Skipton with 5Z45 0830 Carnforth Steamtown to Northallerton (Wensleydale railway) 6th November 2026

45407 arriving in the goods loop at Hellifield on a very grey dull day

Pity they couldn't have waited till later to fit that headlamp!!

I left after having breakfast myself to catch it passing through Skipton, (stops at Leeds and York were later omitted and 45407 arrived at Wensleydale railway 96 minutes early)
