A post on the Colne Valley Railway Facebook page (screenshotted below) indicates that Hunslet Austerity WD200 (w/no 3800) has successfully passed its boiler inspection and test runs and is due to return to revenue earning traffic with a steam driver experience on Sunday 1 November. Quite an efficient turnaround too from boiler inspection on 19 October. Congratulations to the Colne Valley for having resident Steam power once again

Most appropriate in that livery given that next year marks 60 years since the end of Southern steam. With 41312 bowing out on the Mid Hants in January, the only survivors of 1967 that will be in working order to mark this event look likely to be Clan Line, 80151 (Which didn't quite make it to July 9th) and the USA tank.

Of course, there will be a good number of other engines that were on BR(S)'s books in the 1960s for the various galas that are being planned, but those engines that lasted to the end are a bit special.

I don't think that the USA tank lasted in service until the very end. It seems to have been laid up in April 67, while 80151 succumbed in the May of that year. It therefore seems that Clan Line will be the only currently active loco to have survived in traffic until the July.
