I was wondering that too. JH's family coat of arms or the crest of his loco holding company perhaps? LNER coat of arms maybe.
I'll ask my mate on the support crew to try and find out.

Just found a pic of 60019 passing Wymondley and although the detail of the crest is lost when I zoom in, it has the same general appearance and colours of the LNER coat of arms. I'll try and get this confirmed.

Was on time on the return, and was perfect blue sky for half an hour before 60019 arrived, and then the smallest of clouds decides to arrive just as 60019 arrives :|

Shots are included from the outward and return trips at Colton.

Reported running in to KX 15+ min down.
Not sorry I stayed at home. I will have to stick my hand in my pocket for the Belle project another time.
    Cheers

Waiting south of Retford for about two and a half hours for her to pass... I knew she'd been running 5min or so late down in Ickleford and on the slow line. ](*,)

I thought she sounded rough on the excellent videos at Colton from 'Steaming around Yorkshire' - see above.

    Any other views?

Now that's a belting shot and also the best way of capturing anything on the ECML, ie. get under the wires.

It's also the best angle of an A4 imo. [IMG]

Nearly forgot, my effort at Ryther this evening.

Excellent run today, albeit a bit disappointing towards the end.

Due to numerous delayed service trains, we ran non-stop from Potters Bar to Retford in 127 mins, then briefly looped for one train train to overtake, looped again at Arksey for another train and arrived in York 42 mins early (in front of 4 trains which should have been ahead of us).

Non-stop from York to Helpston on the return (108 miles in 96 mins, 73 mph through Doncaster), but unfortunately the fact we were early put paid to a non-stop run to Potters Bar as we had to wait for trains which should have passed us on Stoke Bank. Nothing very special after that and, as noted above, 60019 souunded very off beat as we approached London (beleieved to be broken piston or valve ring). Arrived KX only 10l mins late.

That would make sense, it sounded like it was only running on two cylinders.

A friend who travelled on it joining and leaving at Potters Bar reported that it was 17 mins late there on the return, and in moving off made a squeaking noise to every revolution of the driving wheels.

Very nice videos sir. Caught me out I'm afraid as I was just setting up the tripod when she was upon me. So all I got was this short hand-held clip in the morning:-
