    I visited the gala yesterday and have to say it was superbly run and organised. Even when the 37 sat down for a bit, announcements were made at embsay to say what engines would be on what services. So good was the communication that whilst travelling on the 1530 ex bolton abbey on d5600 the tti was rang with the lastest train info who then duly went down the train advising passengers which loco would be on which train.

    I feel that the £12 for the day rover was excellent value for money. I had at least 3 round trips as well as being able to take some nice pics for my collection.

    I can not praise the day enough, well done the all the team down there, and no I am in no way connected with the railway in any form, just a customer who wishes to express his appreciation for a very enjoyable day out.
