And of course I could also include the immortal schoolboy joke.......
Why couldn't the steam engine sit down?
Because it had a tender behind. :smt016 :smt016

What about, "try a little tenderness" or "tenderless" as the case may be?.

    Regards

Any news on the condition of #19?, she's down to be running on the MHR for the next few weeks.

The first joke I knew, aged 4, was:

Passenger: Does this train stop at Portsmouth Harbour?

Porter: Well, missus, there will be a heck of a splash if it doesn't.

Could be onto something there, they would probably work on tenders and spam cans ...

On the subject of unsightly extra water capacity

How much water can a support coach/ guv carry ? (there was a big tank on the WCR Scarborough spa express set in the Brake Coach) use an old DMU and it can double as a generator cum observation saloon too....

suppose if you paint the opposite sides of your support coach/ water carrier type thing
different liveries then that increases your chance of pleasing a few more folk some of the time...

Perhaps it could run with 2 tenders at the MHR gala, it would add more interest and stop it becoming sidelined as it is the only loco not to fit in with the S&D theme.

That will be fun running tender first.

I forgot to mention that it would brobably need to be constantly attached to 1 set of coaches and just be on the back of the train when it travels in the opposite direction.

Perhaps use 30075, get some shots of it that make it look as if it is doing all of the work.
