    Many thanks for that info Mike; from the lineside it certainly seemed to be an excellent tour to be on. Here's my video of the outward and return legs showing the train on the last few yards to Grayrigg Summit, the last 2 miles to Ais Gill Summit, and getting into its stride at Pleasington after the Blackbun water stop:

    It's been a few months since I was last at Ais Gill so was rather surprised to see that the wooden bridge (Hangman's Bridge?), the one before the viaduct, has gone. That's been quite a prominent feature on a lot of photographs for years.
    I suspect it went during the last line closure as there is a large pile of wood adjacent.
    Rather a shame. What with the radio mast and the new signal, the place is changing!
