    hi guys,
I've been watching the beamish blogs with interest, apparently they are doing work to the track at the station, reballasting and relaying it,
i've noticed that beamish owns some coaches I believe, does anyone have any information on them? esp the 1972 coach in the RMS, and planned usage of the line at beamish?
I also believe beamish owns twizell, can some of the tanfield guys help me with info on her? is she going back to beamish or not?
    cheers

As far as I know, there are plans to use both of the 'modern' railways at beamish - formerly connected, the line is now split into two sections.
One is the colliery yard, lots of sidings, wagons and an engine shed, the other is the railway station. These were separated when the tramway was extended as the line was too steep and tight for passenger running and it is intended to run them as two separate entities, with a few small shunting engines at the colliery and the passenger loco at the station. Took quite a bit of digging on natpres to find that out though ;)

    hi mate
I'm aware of that particular thread regarding beamish,
i've tried to get hold of paul jarman on email, not replying to me, but he is busy I expect,
but as I said, what is the plan for the NER coaches that are at the tanfield railway that are from beamish, are they going back to beamish?, and is twizell going back to beamish or what?
    cheers

Currently NER 3071 currently masquerading as no.818 has been lowered after receiving some attention to the bolster. It is hoped that this will now have a fast track overhaul into traffic for services at Tanfield. Twizell is also coming to the end of a lengthy overhaul. However I am not in a position to discuss what the contract terms are between both Tanfield and Beamish, although I would hope/expect that we get use of the above seems as theres been quite alot of work gone on.

No I do not currently volunteer
Some of the postings "eaten" by the old server were about some North Eastern coaches incorporated into a hotel at Sandsend and I was contacted by some-one from Tanfield who thought they might be interested.

Canb anyone from Tanfield or anyone else interested in the bodies please PM me as I now have contact details for the demolition contractors.

    Thanks
