    Hello,

During a recent wander around the internet I discovered plans for the Avon Valley to extend into a new station in Bath called Bath Riverside...could anyone tell me more?

Basically the idea is to extend the current line to Saltford, and then later "Bath Riverside", which is over the bridge and a bit of a walk from the Park and Ride. It would definitely raise the profile of the line, as the extension would run along the opposite side of the highly scenic river valley to the GWR Bristol - Bath line, from which is would be clearly visible. This would require a two train service, hence the DMU being brought in. They've been making plans for years though; if there's one thing the AVR is good at, it's making plans.
