Can anyone tell me what route Tangmere will take on Thursday, please? I know that normally they go out via Salisbury and back via Newbury, but not always. Neither the Steam Dreams web-site nor UKsteam.info has the routing. If it's via Didcot in either direction, then I may be able to take a long lunch-break to see it. TIA.

I've also noticed that the SD website shows a complete blank for this trip, not even an engine No! I don't think they update their website very often, a common issue with most operators. A recent example was RYTC showing Tangmere as taking over the Dartmouth Express at Westbury after it was changed to Bristol. I know events squashed this anyway. As mentioned, no info on UKSteam as yet either.

According to the last leaflet received from them, the pick ups are Staines, Ascot & Reading, so it must be via the Berk and Hants both ways.

Reading's not conclusive though, is it? Could be via Newbury or Swindon or even Mortimer/Basingstoke/Salisbury, in either direction...

Thanks. Uksteam.info shows the route now, too.

Nothing new about that then !!!! Actually looked fantastic through Earley, hammering on although I thought she would be coasting towards Reading. Cold sunny morning makes for great exhaust display.

....if the wind didn't blow the exhaust down, then yes! Saw it go past Crofton several minutes down. Beautiful light but no photo because of the wind! Pah!

It was about 15 min late at Corston near Bath. Will post something later.

Sorry to read that conditions at Crofton weren't great. Nearly went there this morning.

Yes, she looked stunning passing through Bath, in ideal conditions.

Michael, was it you that was at Newton St Loe, on the dual carriageway near to the Globe Roundabout? I passed a lone photographer there, as I was on my way to Oldfield Park station - was sorely tempted to go for the panned shot there, but thought I'd attempt something a little different, and go to Oldfield Park. Apologies if thats a case of mistaken identity.

Hope you got a shot that you were pleased with, either way!

Anyone else out to see it tonight?

    Wonderful pics!

I'm guessing that was you I saw; I flew past on a 'bright orange bendybus' at around 1200 - I'm glad someone was there to record the scene at Corston, as I was very tempted!

Particularly like the one with what looks like a Manor-house (I'm afraid I don't know its name) in the background, up on the hill. Its a cracking photo.

Through Kintbury a couple of mins down. No doubt this will be made up at the water stop at Theale.
