Line up for this event over the weekend of 24/25th October, is as follows -

7802, 6695, 5542, 5553, 4160, 88, plus 3 diesels and the DMU.

Saturday at start of diagram -
Facing BL - 88, 4160

Not sure about the diesels

There may be some diesel turnings too.

The last 2 departures from MD on Sunday wil be double-headed.

For night time photonerds there is a Saturday evening Murder Mystery from BL-MD return with 6695.

If the crews all read their ops notices correctly there will be 16 chimney first and 11 tender/bunker first departures!!

Thank you Keith for your information, but what time are the Goods trains and when will the loco roster appear?

 

And I am interested in what the Diesels are and do. The use of the Warship dictates my attendance or otherwise so I would be grateful if anyone has an indication whether it is to be out on the 24th.

 

Loco roster details are now with the company so should be added to the timetable on their website shortly. The goods runs at 0840 MD-BL and 1305 BL-MD on Saturday and 1315 MD-BL Sunday, returning as far as WN at 1745 double-headed (this is a stock movement) - all are diesel hauled.

Diesels are - D1661, D7017 & D9526.

They are on the following diagrams -

Saturday - D9526 (picks up D7017 at WN) - 0840 (Goods), D1661 -1220, D7017 - 1500 ex MD;
D7017 -1125, D9526 -1305 (Goods), D1661 -1600 ex BL.

Sunday - D1661 - 1220, D9526 - 1315 (Goods), D7017 - 1500 ex MD;
D1661 - 1125, D1661 - 1600 ex BL.

As an extra there will be a stock movement diagram consisting of the freight set and
D7017/D9526 from BL-WN at 1745 on Sunday.

I see that 6695 is being turned on Sunday. I think I will opt out of that manoeuvre I don't want to turn her 540 again! :smt048

BTW I'm not sure when D832 fell off the loco list but it does not seem to be running (same goes for nos 3850 and 9351).

Loco change Saturday 24th

Hi,
Please note an amendment to the loco diagrams.

For operational reasons, 4160 will now haul the 1015 MD-BL on Saturday 24th, replacing 88. 4160 will be chimney facing BL.

88 will haul the 1335 NF-MD service, chimney facing MD. On arrival at MD it will be turned 360 degrees to put it right for Sunday.

A revised PDF will be posted on the company website in due course.

Latest news is that 6695 will be staying on at WSR for another couple of weeks. Due to be in traffic over the Somerset in Autumn event and then the next two Sundays (as far as I know at the moment anyhow). Then home to Swanage for annual boiler exam.

 

7802 facings for Saturday

Hi,
Due to the Earth being the wrong way round tomorrow, 7802 will now be leaving BL tender first on the 0930.

It will return chimney first on the 1110 BL-NF.

Then tender first on the 1505 BL-MD and then be turned 360 degrees so it is back the way it should be for the 1655 BL-MD.

Sorry about that - best laid plans etc etc...........
