Managed to get out and video the move today, been a while since I seen some steam on the mainline. Next month it gets rather hectic!

Hi just to let folks know that the king is on display at kidderminster and the footplate will be open for you to come up on the footplate between 9am- 4pm tue's /wed's and again
next sunday , were if you wish you can buy 6024 christmas cards £1 each and 6024 birthday cards £1.25 each or just come up for a talk and news on our main line trips, 28th nov and 12th dec 2009.

How long will the King stay at Kidderminster? It's railtour from Bescot to Hereford has been cancelled on the 28th November. <BJ>

 

I suppose it depends whether the Bristol - Paddington trip on 12th Dec is still going ahead. Isn't that supposed to be non-stop, (presumably using the water tanks) or have I mis-remembered?

 

Why has the tour on 28th November been cancelled?

i for one would love the king to run on 7 valley on the santa's trains till we leave for the bristol- london trip,as to why the ludlow trip is off
the reason is now on torbay web site it could be to do with the lay over from sat pm till the monday at newport.

 

TBEL cite "operational difficulties" for the cancellation...

 

That would only leave the weekend of 5th/6th December. <BJ>

just to let linesider's know that the king is running this sunday on the dinnning train at 12 noon from kidderminster- bridgenorth and is doing just one round trip,

 

This is the Severn Valley Limited dining train. It departs Kidderminster at 12:00 and returns from Bridgnorth at 14:26. <BJ>
