Not sure that £7 would really cover the postage!

Massive though the start price is, it is reasonable - an average of £65 per loco ignoring anything for the Rolling Stock. I suspect only business buyers would be able to find £26,000 all at one go!

    In my dreams....

I could only dream of it though one wonders how big a set up you would need to run it all fully.

What fun that would be - Be interesting if he was to show some pics of the layout as well! Still 26k seems an awful lot of money in this day and age!

This person could be better off breaking their collection up and selling it over a period of months? This way they are more likely exceed the asking price for the complete collection?

I agree about breaking it up - But not sure about the asking price.....??? Still haven't see the layout yet?? And you have to think for the price of some Model Railway (00 Guage) You could buy a place (Property) from up North at an auction at double that amount that he is selling it for.

With two days left before the auction finishes and no bids will anyone stick their neck out and put a bid in. I would think you would be better off contacting the seller and striking a deal with the seller?

He will get no-where near the asking price... Or even half the asking price - i forgot to say the other day that it looks like he is a Model Railway shop owner selling up!
