    A Thingy...
Well, we're heading to that time of year again when all modellers cross their fingers for particular models to be produced. Let us therefore speculate and list our 'dream' set of releases for next year, and hopefully paste up the results when they are finally announced. Mine would be:

    Southern: Urie/Maunsell S15; Maunsell U class; Maunsell push-pull carriages; pre-grouping carriages.

Western: New tooling of the 28xx/'King' classes; Collett/Hawksworth carriage sets.

LNER: A new B17 model and possibly bring back the D49.

    LMS: A re-tooled 4F 0-6-0 and for someone to do a SDJR 7F.

So there we go for starters...

A model of 32424, and either a lined black H class or Adams Radial Tank would look superb matched with the new blood custard Maunsell carriages that Hornby have just released.

A GWR Dukedog and a GWR City would be nice, preferably 9017 in BR Black and City of Truro in its guise at the moment!
    Plus a GWR 2-8-0, such as 3802

    :)

I'd really like to see models of preserved and main line reg' stuff, may be a collectors series?

    45407 45231 44871
    70000 70013
    Tornado
    Guardsman, 6100
    Tangmere, Clan line
    Sutherland, Lizzie etc

I know a lot of its already been done, but its ratty second hand flea bay time unless your good at re-numbering !

Might be nice if some of this stuff was produced in the Railroad range as inspiration for kids, nothing better than wandering to your local station, watch 45407 thunder through, then go home, have a brew and drive it round your kitchen !

As a rough guide - have a look at the models that are scheduled to come out this year or early next year, then see where they came in previous years 'most wanted model' surveys. Then see the ones that were voted for this year and work it out!

    Regards,

    Dan

There has been rumours of a Q6 and S&D 7f both from Bachamm presumably as Hornby mainly covers the SR and express passenger locos.

J21 would go down well, or failing that a 64xx/74xx? How about a nice model of lion/titfield thunderbolt, ltd edition?

Isn't there supposed to be a Terrier 55 Stepney and Blue maunsell coach as part of the Bluebell railways 50th Anniversary?

What I would love, is for models to be available for at least a year and a half after they have been released, it is hard to get the money in time, before none are left.

£150 for a terrier and maunsell coach???????????????????????

    What the hell?
That is a complete rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel it prudent to mention that the Devon Belle set with Wadebridge contains about 3 times as much loco and better carriages, and that is only £50 more.

Dont tell me you are trying to fund 55's repairs through selling this item.

Hmmmm yes I do agree, I bought Hornby Terrier 32662 for about £42 from my local model shop in Eastbourne a couple of months ago. Also they charge about £24 per Maunsell carriage. So yes Ok the black Stepney and Blue Maunsell carriage is limited edition to celebrate Bluebell50 but really Hornby should be charging about £70-80 maximum for the pack, £150 really is O.T.T.
