Boiler for Bagnall 2842 is due by xmas, update from owners yesterday. 2010 is a prospect - a engine not steamed in preservation.

Whiston & Dubs both planned for next years gala.

The Y7 seems to be coming along as and when the shed staff at the NNR have the time. The B12 tender seems to be more of a priority (for obvious reasons). Don't know about Wissington as it is being restored at a private site. It looks like it is getting there though. I am looking forward to seeing Wissington and the B12 running. Don't know if the Y7 is intended to work on the NNR. I can't see it having much work. I believe it doesn't have a coal bunker so will be limited to shunting at one of the stations.

Sir Thomas Royden should be back in steam at Rutland with a little bit of luck! Been several years since it ran.

.......and 35006 not far behind that, surely that must stand a good chance of a 2010 return.

Also SVR wise isn't 34027 likely to return in 2010?

Excellent news, was just reading the update on the website.

Hope a home fleet steam weekend can be arranged for 2010 with the removal of the Harvest of Steam from the running order next year.

    Best Regards

I hope that Tanfield should have No 3 Twizell in steam in the new year.

Don't know of any others on the come back trail at Marley Hill?

    Best Regards

I'll fall into this with both feet (as usual) and hold the flag for narrow gauge and say NGG16 138 will be returning by the summer in new Red livery and hopfully sister 143 will have a bolier transplant from 140 (contract overhaul at LNWR) to stay operable. Lyd is also hoped to steam next year and possibly Linda. I know Elf is makeing progress at Leighton Buzzard also and there will probably be many more.

On the downside Prince's 10 years are up in May 2010 and will not likly re-apear for a couple of years.

'Dolgoch' hopefully as well (but that will hardly have been out of traffic!)

Will I see you at the 2807 AGM on Saturday? I'm planning to travel on the 1030 ex Toddington to Winchcombe via Cheltenham! I guess the AGM will be over in sufficient time to allow me to catch the 1328 ex Winchcombe back to Toddington. Weather is forecast to be heavy rain, but should be 5619 running.

B1 61264 was supposed to be undergoing a fast track overhaul to return it to steam this year, but all seems to have gone very quiet! The website hasn't been updated since early in the year - can anyone say how work is progressing, and if it is expected to be back next year now?

I'm looking forward to that. 5224 has been a great stand-in loco though!
