Hi Matt, while sad to see that one (and its engine 'donor') leave Cottesmore, we still have its 4 wheel brother here (ex ketton).
They make a lovely noise, easy to drive, and have a great cab - I'm sure you'll make good use of it and enjoy it.
I follow the Waverley website regularly, and keep promising myself another trip North of the border to do a round robin to see some NBL's and will try to tie it up with a visit to Whitrope and also the Royal Deeside where another ex Cottesmore resident is active.
Keep us posted with details of its restoration.

    Hi
Does this mean 4240012 will be leaving the RRM as well for Whitrope, or is it just donating the engine?

Just the engine and some cannibalism for spares.

Well done guys - now just get it running and I'll be up for a cabride! Nice to see it has finally gone somehwere where it will be returned to running order instead of festering (and it also gives us a few more feet of siding space at Cottesmore!)
