I always thought that D1035 had been withdrawn with accident damage, (which was why Foster Yeoman bought D1010 and renamed it) - but it appears that 1035 was withdrawn due to a 'shortage of engines'...
D7096 was cut up 2/86 after yielding spares for D7076.

Dunno about diesels & electrics, but before the four steam locos went to Glasgow museum and were simply kept "in store" at a shed, there was a 5th that had beeen stored for a long time. The authorities decided to cut it though as, due to a number of rebuilds and alterations it was no longer a true representative of any Scottish pre Grouping loco.

And also for the record, it was D6122.

D6121 was rebuilt into a Class 29 with, most noticeably, a centre headcode panel and a Paxman engine.

The Barry loco still had end doors and a MAN engine inside (I have a photo of it). It did have at least one cab side with D6121 painted on but this was probably due to a cab swap earlier in its life, or somebody mucking about.
