Nice change not to have someone slagging Neil off about his photos, usually with sarcastic "Deighton" comments. I find them very interesting, even diesel ones. Shows how much has changed even since the 70's & 80's.

I agree with buseng - it's great to see these older pictures; when all's said & done, it's not that long ago either...how things have changed, & not always for the better either.

Aah, he/she won't leave their name. Neil,.........haven't got the decency (or the guts) to do that. I enjoy the photos.

 

Its sometimes good to look at them, although to me it would be better if there was a single thread in the 'Photography' section that was updated when the website was, rather than clogging up all of the other forums.

Just a thought.

Actually, just thinking aloud, & I'm certain that this has already been done before, but isn't the EE Type 2 pretty much the 'easiest' (ha ha ) of the extinct 'Modernisation Plan' classes to recreate? There is the power unit already operational, of course, & I'm thinking that a Class 20 chassis & Class 37 bodyshell for much of the bodywork would be a good start. A big 'cut & shut', if you will...
