    Many thanks have to go to all involved for what was another superb gala at the GWR. All locos performed and sounded fantastic and ran close to time all day. The weather was awful which obviously deterred several potential visitors but hopefully passenger numbers will pick up tomorrow.

    The Gala was really good - big thanks to all of the guys and girls who put it on. Awful weather, but I and a couple of friends escaped the parental units in London and drove across the Cotswolds to have a look on the wet and cold 29th. Nice that all of the catering facilities were in full swing too; a welcome respite from the rain. And good to have the 2ft gauge line operating.

    I can't profess to know much about the locos we saw (I'd not heard of Black Prince and had never seen Truro before...) but it was a good excuse to see more than one loco in steam. Six, in fact.
