Cheers. The heritage bus last year over the moorland was quite special, especially with snow on the top of the hills.

USA tank gets ONE round trip on sun, and little more on sat?! With a lineup of 4 locos, you wouldve thought they could each get a few turns? I can see DOG is the celebrity loco and that, and i'm sure i'm in a minority in that its of little interest to me, but FIVE round trips on sunday while the USA gets ONE? As said i know i'm in quite a minority view in not being amazed at seeing 71000 again on another preserved line, but with one standard tank being much like another - quite nice locos, but not a huge draw really, £14 for one round trip? Sorry but no thanks.

Thanks for the info Chris, looking forward to it. Is it possible to acquire a Lineside Pass in advance, or if not, what are the arrangements. Thanks in advance.

30075 does 2 full round trips on the saturday including a banking turn out of Froghall.

On the sunday it does 2 full round trips, a trip from Consall to Cheddleton via Leekbrook, and a banking turn out of Froghall.

30075 will also be doing driver for £10 on both days.

    Regards

    Chris

Payment for the linside passes is at Cheddleton Station on the day. I believe there is a form to fill in which has to dropped into the office by the engine shed where the lineside pass will be issued.

    Regards

    Chris

Nope. The snow has ment no access to site for around 4 weeks, so 'Proto GUV' wont be anywhere near restored.

You will have a cracking day on 30075, its a belting engine, came up the bank from Froghall with 6 on, no problems, held 170psi all the way with the cleaner firing!

Did it sound good from the pub Will?

It's a huge shame at how little it's working though, isn't it?

I was considering a visit however for the lack of USA mileage available I think i'll pass. However I understand that 99% of the clientele will be visiting for 71000 so imagine the gala will be a success.

    Yes chris

    Very impressed with 30075

It looked good from the Black Lion on Saturday night and seemed to be performing well

But I would no be keen to be on it on a hot summers day
