I filmed Dave Clarke giving one if his excellent tours of the Carriage and Wagon Works at Horsted Keynes during Branch Line Weekend, I thought I would share the three videos here:

Thank's for those clips it's good to see some of the progress being made in the C&W works. The LSWR 1520 looks magnificant but I do agree with Dave Clarke that maybe it would have been better outshopping it in SR green. The carriage in it's own right looks very nice in Salmon Pink & Bitter Chocolate livery but they are no other carriages in that livery to match it with so it will stick out like a sore thumb if paired with our green Maunsells, Bulleids and Mk1's. Still it's a superb job pulled off by the workers at the C&W dept and well done all round.

if the railway had some LSWR waggons running it could look effective as part of a mixed train, albeit probably not beind a secr livery loco, but maybe an lbsc livery.

But does it really matter, it will be the only LSWR coach in operation and thus the only one in the LSWR's livieary. They already have the Brighton 'First' and soon a SE&CR 'Birdcage' in SR livery. Anyway, since they use a LNWR and GNR saloons in their oriagnl liverys it not as you can go for total recreation anyway.

LSWR coach 320 was one of the 2 original coaches to arrive at Bluebell, another candidate to receive the salmon livery perhaps?
As to when no doubt there are more pressing priorities, but seeing an attractive historic livery displayed on an operational vehicle
may warm the interest in seeing 2 such vehicles running together in future. Well done to all concerned.

320 has a problom as she was rebuilt by the Southern on to a new standard 58 foot cassis and lengthed so she in theroy couldn't carry LSWR livery. I surpose it wouldn't matter that much though...
