    The first class 108 to be built, 50599, has moved from the East Anglian Railway Museum to the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway. The vehicle will be out of traffic for a short while whilst an electrical fault and a repaint take place before it will be paired temporarily with Class 117 51730. It is possible the vehicle will be on display at this weekends DMU Gala.

    Similarly, driving trailer 56224 has departed for the Keith and Dufftown Railway in Scotland after many years of service on our line (mostly being pushed by a Class 03 locomotive). The decision to "swap" a trailer for a power car was due to the gradients on the line, in particular the 1 in 27 incline.
