Noticed on a website that Gertrude will be spending the summer at the WHHR steam at least 30 times.
This will do a good job for them for the summer and make a difference from seeing Gelert every time or a quarry hunslet

    Dear Readers

Conversation between ET and WHHR( as well as other railways) has been going on for a couple of months now and has resulted in an agreement for her to be availible over all the spring summer and autum . The loco was at Statfold last weekend as many will know and has now been delivered to WHHR last week. Steam/ running tests, air brakes and couplings compatability, are being dealt with now for her immediate entry / availibility for traffic.

We( those that rebuilt her) hope that Gertrude will be a good attraction for them and perform well and efficiently over their line, becomming both a favourit with the visitors and the operating staff.

The team from Exmoor Transport who carried out this restoration have every confidence in their work that they did during her restoration which was carried out to the most exacting standards under the constant direction of Les, assisted by Shaun, and many others, with considerable experience more detail can be found at WWW.gertrude 1578. The loco was built with expectation to operate a constant schedule without works being needed, so no expense was spared or quality reduced, during her construction , all aspects of her expected operation were evaluated and considered during rebuild, anyone who has a good look at her and has further advice or guidance we would be pleased to hear from you.

We hope to have a good season with WHHR and form further long and well founded relationships there as we have done with other people and railways who have got to know us since ET came into being , six years ago.Anyone wishing to know more technical details on the loco can contact me via this site .

Best regards To all Andy ... TheEngineer
