brilliant mate, you've done it again, same as last year, thats a great location for sound. and the asda van driver could have been nicked for blocking the road, the police van turned out of the side road behind where he was just after he pulled in to the side.

44871 & 70013 looked to be in top form yesterday! Especially up Hemerdon; wonderful sound effects!! Really can't wait to see some footage over the Lickey today. I'll be up Shap to capture Ollie giving it some stick on Friday!

Bright Blue Sky out in Brum today, perfect conditions, unless your looking due south on the Lickey where you'll be lucky not to overexpose the sky!.

The reason we didn't have the headboard at Paddington was because the headboard has a LMS/BR type bracket on the back, so it didn't fit on the loco. We had to quickly make an adaptor for it in our coach and we fitted it at Challow.

10 late on the Lickey . Sun much better than anticipated , Gallery at Pikes Pool well behaved but did train clag itself out

concensus was 44871 was doing a lot of the work,

random thought , given that 70013 covers the tour in effect from Penzance to Inverness and Oliver Cromwell could be argued Britains greatest Parliamentarian , not one of our political leaders has seen the opportunity to piggy back on the tour !!

I have just been told that they are delayed by a points failure at Bushbury Junction. Approx 30mins down at the last count.

Thanks to Mark (Alberta 45562) via Ralph.

I am off out to see them at Golborne shortly.

Big turnout at Burcot. Mostly well behaved apart from one numpty who decided to walk up the trackside to get 10yards in front of the rest of us behind the fence. I'd say 70013 was making more noise than 44871 when it passed us.

An excellent gallery at Vigo earlier 44871 seemed to be doing the lions share of the work until just after the crossing when Ollie seemed to kick in. There was a couple of short slips after the train had gone out of sight then approx 5 minutes later Western Champion and the 47 did the climb.
    A dew shoyrs from today.
