Henschel mystery?

Amongst The Vale of Rheidol heritage or museum stock, in store, in Wales, is a Henschel, the identity of which seems to be uncertain. On my database, I have it listed as Henschel 11854 of 1925. The type and wheel arrangement I do not have nor can I remember to ever seeing it mentioned. A further mystery is its numbering. If it is of 1925 vintage then the its number is far too low as 16073 is dated 1918. Either its date is incorrect or its number is wrong or has been wrongly transcribed e.g 18154 would be more appropriate for 1925.
Can anyone throw any light on this and/or be able to tell what its wheel arrangement is.
Any further info would be most welcome.

The Phyllis Rampton Trust do have a Feldbahn 0-8-0T of WW1 era in their collection but whether its a Henshel I don`t know.

 

The Industrial Railway Society list it as Maffei 4766 of 1917, Ex J.B.Mervaux, Nosy-sur-Ecole, France, 3/2001.

 

Thanks, lads. I have the Maffei details already but I only had the town as its previous location, so that has filled in a little more detail.
If either the number or the date of the Henschel are correct, then it can't be a Brigadelok. I think all of these were built between late 1915 & early 1918. As far as I am aware, the earliest Henschel built one in UK is 14019 of 1916 (DFB 526) at Amerton and the latest is 15968 of 1918 (DFB 1091), which is at N. Gloucestershire Rwy. This last one appears to be an anomaly as well because 15551 of 1917 is reported as DFB 1752, last heard of as belonging to J Martin and stored in the Maidstone area. It is possible that the reported dates, numbers and/or DFB running numbers have been mis-read -reported or otherwise confused but, quite oten, the more you look into these things the more confusing it becomes. I only started my database so that I could keep track of the various NG steam locos "preseserved" in the UK and their whereabouts but it's become a bit of an obsession now.
I did wonder if one of the guys, who work on the VoR, might have known of my mystery beast.

Sometimes a works number is not always allocated to a locomotive but in this case it could be the bogie tender build for the locos in use Africa.

Thank you, Colin. That's the loco. From the date I had half guessed at an NG15 and I thought that there was one in the collection but that number really had me puzzled. Cleared that one up nicely.
