Uncertainty from MHR chief engineers as to when 60019 coming back. Timing and notice issues with network rail. May come back over the next two days to two weeks.

ahhh, good. MHR chief engineers were saying they were having difficulty with network rail organising a return trip. Good that it is back, and odds are that i may work on it on friday, so i shall keep you all updated should anything happen.

60019 arrived at MHR as scheduled. HOWEVR IT WILL NOT RUN SERVICES AT MHR THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!

It arrived back with two tenders because there was nowhere to water. The man travelling down with it said it was missing a cylinder beat. Our best engineers have tried to solve, and keep changing their minds as to whether it will run. However, the latest i have heard it that it will not run.

It may only do one weekends service, if that due to this. Left hand valave is where the problem has been isolated to. Left to cool in the yard.

However, 34007 is running with half its nameplates on this weekend alongside 92212. website confirms its failure.

    Sorry to all,

    James

Sad news about 60019. Hope she is not too bad. Hopefully she might be ready for "Fathers day weekend".

Removed from the Weymouth tour today which ran with 30777 outbound and 2 x 37s back but Bittern is still being given as "live" for next Wednesday's trip to the seaside.

Any update on whether the loco' will show?

Have an affinity with this loco' as I had a cab ride on it over the MHR last year as my retirement treat therefore am looking forward to seeing it if it does show.

I hope the side valances are refitted. Would make the 3 valanced Garter Blue A4's together look stunning.

I am sure the valances will go back on this year but it would be good to see her again without but still blue as No 19 as I saw her in the early 70s running light through Hessle station.

Went past Southall today, nothing stirs, the place locked up, only a blue 57 shutdown stored on a rake of stock, rest of the placed locked up.

Any news? Did this happen today? If so, did it involve an excusion onto the mainline, or just a trundle up and down the yard?

Thanks. That's a shame. I suppose that's why she's not now taking part in GB6 Day 1. Do you know whether another test is planned? Just wondering whether she's likely to be ready for the final day of GB6. TIA.
