Swindon and Cricklade GWR 175 12th - 19th June

I actually have another meeting in Cardiff this Saturday and if I am passing at a sensible time I may call in again, if for no other reason than the beer tent was a lot better than the services on the M4! The variety of frieght etc wouyld be a bonus.

My satnav was useless to help finding the line, I just saw the signs by the stadium. What is the best thing to enter for the car park nearer the station?

 

A very big well done and thanks to all involved for a fantastic gala which I visited on Sunday. It was my first visit for a number years and it certainly wont be that long before I return. It was a great intensive service with 3 passenger trains running throughout the day which led to an action filled day. It was great to see the locos were opened up especially 5322 which did make a racket! All staff were very friendly and helpful and I certainly recommend to anyone that it is well worth a visit next weekend.

 

Mike, I find that entering SN25 2DA brings you out about 100 yards from the railway car park, from there you can see the blunsdon - swindon section. Look forward to seeing you, if you make it. I'll be on 5542 Sat afternoon come and find me for a footplate ride.

 

Thanks for that, if I get out of the meeting early enough I'll call in again, I'll make a beeline for 5542. And of course the offer of a cab ride is reciprocated if you are ever near the Corris!

 

And I will be on 5322 in the afternoon on sat and 4612 with Aarun on Sunday morning.
