    Not a great deal to say – the picture speaks for itself, but at 2.50pm on Wednesday, Tornado will haul Mallard to Shildon, due to arrive at the latter venue around 5.29pm if all is well. Let’s hope the sunshine is as good as it was today, when we were treated to this sight in the museum car park!​

    Any idea what that black pipe up the front and side of Mallard is for? It looks as though it's been secured with cable ties.

    60163 is perfectly capable of operating vacumn brakes, though I suppose if the support coach is not vac fitted........
