    I'm having some trouble trying to piece together a gradient profile of the S&C. I have bits of it but not all.

    What I'm looking for is the gradient profile and mileages for the climb to Ais Gill on both sides. Has anyone got a link to a profile or tell me what the general mileages are?

    From Settle Junction to Blea Moor Tunnel 15 miles at 1 in 100
    From Blea Moor Tunnel to Ais Gill 10 miles. Gradient varies - down, then up, then down , and up to Ais Gill between 1 in 165 to 1 in 440.

    Ais Gill to Ormside Viaduct 15 miles of mainly 1 in 100.

    All the above from RTC Cumbrian Mountain Express booklet which includes the Gradient profile.
