The train was orignally routed through Eccles and the Chat Moss line after leaving victoria before going up the WCML to Wigan

The train now is routed via Salford Cresent, Bolton and Preston on the way north and back via Blackburn and Bolton on the way south

the text on the Railway Touring Company website is still saying that it will go via Chat Moss ... and on the way back will go direct from Blackburn to Wigan (pretty sure that there isn't a direct line)

Any reason for the change that we know of?

Just a bit annoyed as I just found myself a nice viaduct in Salford to take pictures of the train going over ... now it is not going over it

Three shots of Lizzie leaving Billington on the climb to Wilpshire here, running approx to time after being held at Whalley behind a service train which was following Western Pioneer excursion towards Blackburn

I think it was 6233's support coach, 99040.

Yes Mark, twas taken just north of Kirkby Stephen station. The planned walk to Greengate/Birkett Common got changed very rapidly due to the approaching black clouds on the horizon. I didn't fancy being an hour from the station and soaking wet!
