Scarborough Spa Express 2010

On time both at Castleford and New Fryston.

 

Bang on time through York too - the loco looked very shiny (almost too shiny!) - and it seemed to have a reasonable number of punters on it, which was good to see. I'll probably be going on it later in the month.

shockingly bad report on look north refered to it as the real hogwarts express which has taken a break from filming, only filming its been on is coronation street i think, but i guess any publicity for the trip is better than none, on the up side the loco did look very nice with its new paint.

 

Except that wasn't 45407 either.

 

Well, it had that number on it...I did notice the missing nameplate though :/

 

It's Ian Riley's 5 no 44871 which I believe is to appear in the 'soap' a programme I haven't seen for years. It was 45407 on the Scarborough this week, and an excellent performer too !

5690 failed FTR this morning. Possibility that 46115 may come across for this evening's run. 47760 to do the morning run.
