    The unknown locations of 68846 look like Bitton station on the Avon Valley Railway Neil.

    There was one bogie with outside frames, (actually equalising beams) originally fitted to 988 and then transferred to 983. Presumably it was an attempt to get better riding that didn't work. If you look closely you can see the bottom end of the central springs supporting the beams.

    There was also the inside cylinder C2, 271, which had started life with 4 cylinders and for a time was regarded as equal to a large Atlantic.
